It’s also resistant to salt corrosion, so titanium pistons can be used without OEM piston dust boots which due to high temperature stress, simply don't last under demanding track and fast road driving conditions. You can choose between standard, high precision CNC machined surface finish or optional polished surface finish, reducing friction and wear of the O-rings.
