Pre-2024 Giulia Quadrifoglio has an electronically controlled, torque vectoring limited-slip differential (TV diff) that can vary the amount of lock across the rear axles, and actively send torque to a specific wheel to create torque vectoring, too. According to the specifications, TV diff unit is superior to classical mechanical clutch-pack limited slip differential (LSD), but unfortunately, the software calibration is very poorly optimized, rendering the car prone to snap oversteer, unpredictable at the limit, inconsistent and causing traction control interference along with overheating of the LSD on the track. Its performance it's simply not delivering what it supposed to.
 
This has been a known issue and a common criticism by experienced drivers, so from 2024 model year onward, TV diff has been replaced with more conventional, clutch-pack, mechanical LSD, delivering far more consistent handling at the limit, eliminating traction control interference and reducing overheating issues when driven hard.
